Three Fashion Trends That Are Hot For Spring 2014

Now that spring is officially here, we have some great fashion trends for you. We’ve seen all kinds of gorgeous looks that our favorite stars are pulling off, but we’ve managed to narrow it down to our top three: Head-To-Toe Monochrome, Pink and Mixing Patterns.

Head-To-Toe Monochrome

Wearing monochromatic (AKA head-to-toe in one color) clothing is a fashion trend we just can’t get enough of. Though most people choose to wear almost all one color from top to bottom, we love when everything is the same color.

Kim Kardashian pulls off the head-to-toe monochrome look flawlessly in a gorgeous golden dress and coat. The silk fabric of the dress pairs perfectly with her knee-length wool coat. Kim wears dark-gold strappy heels to round out this golden look.

Oscar winner Lupito Nyong’o rocks the head-to-toe monochrome look by wearing a green patterned dress and mint-green heels. Her Manolo Blahnik heels are to die for! They’re such a good color on her and totally complement her Peter Pilotto mid-length dress. We are loving both of these spring looks.

Pink

Are you a pastel pink fan? British singer Pixie Lott just rocked a pale-pink, floral-embroidered shift dress by Dolce & Gabbana a few days ago. The 23-year-old’s pink dress sells for more than $1200, but we’ve found her pink look for less.

If you love bubblegum-pink, this is the look for you. American Hustle actress Amy Adams rocked bright bubblegum at a pre-Oscars event. The 39-year-old actress stunned in a Vivienne Westwood dress and nude Christian Louboutin heels.

Can’t get enough of long, flowy pink dresses? Kristen Bell rocked a J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2014 gown at the Veronica Mars Hollywood premiere. With a thigh-high slit and hammered-satin pattern, the 33-year-old actress looked stunning. This look is perfect for spring and we can’t get enough of it!

Mixing Patterns

Recently, Hollywood stars and runway models have been rocking the mixing patterns trend. Julianne Moore flaunted a two-piece mixing patterns dress at a red carpet movie premiere for Non-Stop. We think we’ve become so accustomed to making sure our entire outfit matches (and definitely does not clash) that intentionally mixing patterns throw us off a little bit.

Mad Men star Kiernan Shipka (who is only 14 years old and on top of fashion trends) showed up to the Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards in a mixing patterns dress. We are a fan of Kiernan’s mixing patterns style because the top half of her dress and the bottom half are extremely different patterns. Although this is bolder, it declares that she paired these two distinct patterns together on purpose… as a new fashion trend.
